On 3rd July, 2013 Sydney Metro M o L Welfare Officers Warren Thompson and Alan Webb met Les Haggett at George Piggins Nursery, Gardeners Road, Kensington for a chat and cup of coffee.
George was there at the time and spent some time with us all.
Les has been battling cancer and has to commence his second round of Chemotherapy at Prince of Wales Hospital over the next six weeks.
Les has been a staunch South Sydney man having played in the South Sydney Juniors and was also a Selector for the Jersey Flegg Representative team.
He is a very community minded person and has been heavily involved with the R.S.L. Sub-Branch and other organisations as an official and volunteer.
He was given a Men of League Polo shirt, and cap and he conveyed his appreciation to the great work done by Men of League Foundation.
