Spoke with Chris on the phone yesterday. He is home and in good spirits. Be a while before he is up and about again but things going well after his operation.
Gave him a full report on the OMD. Including the amazing meeting with former Tiger and Ref Jack Danzey being there. In 1963 Jack and myself lined up against each other playing 5/8 at Leichhardt Oval in a Souths v Tigers match. First time I have been in his company in over 50 years. Bloody hell we are sure getting ancient..
Still how many times have we reunited with blokes we knew so long ago. Also very pleased to see the “Bears” enjoying the day. Nice to see other clubs are comfortable and willing to attend.

Spoke with Chris tonight and he is getting a bit cheesed off about his lack of mobility.
Will be seeing him over the weekend and on Tuesday when he has his first physio.
