Ronnie sends his best wishes to all “the old mates” with this update on his condition. Unfortunately, he worked with Karen at Hawkesbury Races that very hot 44degree day in early December, climbing up and down on the betting stand to change betting sheets 40 times (he had no help from the bookie we were working for) resulting in him suffering another blister on the sole of his right foot.

This blister developed into an Ulcer and despite the best efforts of all this in turn resulted in a bone infection which necessitated the removal of toes two and three and the diseased bone, Mid April.

After a week he came home from Hospital hooked up to an infuser of Antibiotics, which was changed daily for the next six weeks with the Post Operative Nurses dressing the wound on his right foot which was a gaping hole with no stitches.

This has almost healed and he continues to improve.

Having the odd beer especially for State of Origin. His Doctor is keeping him on oral Antibiotics for the next 6 months and is very pleased with his progress.
