IVAN JONES FAMILY WALKS THE SYDNEY TO SURF IN AID OF CHRIS O’BRIEN “LIFE HOUSE”

At the Sydney Metro M O L lunch at The Juniors on Friday 31st July, 2015 a Gold coin donation was run to aid the “Ivan Jones (former South Sydney Half-Back from the 1960’s) family walk in The Sydney to Surf in Aid of Chris O’Brien Life House “

As a result of those in attendance $1,133-00 was raised.

This money was given to Ivan’s daughter Katrina who was the organiser of the walk along with 27 family and friends.

As a result they were able to raise $13,331-00 this money is going towards the “Arterie Program – Men’s Den Program “

This means the Men’s Den at the Chris O’Brien Life House will continue to run now for the next two years and because of the wonderful support will aim to “Engineer a Future without Cancer”

Ivan was one of the first patients to start treatment at Life House when it opened its doors in November 2013.

We thank all those that participated in the walk and those that gave to this great program.
